Land Tax Calculator Australia
Land tax takes the form of a yearly state charge on land you own. A state applies it only above a set threshold, which varies by state. Select your state and enter your land value to view the tax.
Land tax thresholds by state
For a value below the amount set by your state or territory, you owe no land tax. Your own home is usually exempt from land tax. Most payments relate to rental properties, holiday homes, and vacant blocks. Land value refers only to the land itself, not the house or any other buildings on it.

Tax rates, thresholds, and dates
Each state chooses its tax-free amount (the threshold) and the rate applied to value above it (the tax rate). It also sets the date used to check land ownership (the taxing date). You can compare land tax rates for each state, land tax thresholds in each state, and taxing dates for each state, with each topic on its own page.
